Texas: The Camp

The 8th to 10th of November, Randy, Charlie, and I went to the camp with one of their friends, Colin. It takes about 2.5 hours to get there in a car but it is absolute worth it. And…. You know, I am in the U.S… 2.5 hours is not a big deal to drive.. ;)

The camp is a place they use to relax, be outdoor, to hang around with friends, and to go deer-, duck-, and pig hunting. They have a lot of land to go hunting, and I think they have 3 feeders with corn, and to deer blinds. Then they have to ponds, one is called "the duckpond" where they go hunt duck.

We arrived around 7 pm, and ate fritos-pie, which is corn chips crunched in to a bowl, and then you add chili beans. It doesn't look like a pie at all but is tasty and very spicy… I unfortunately didn't take a picture of it… ;)
The next morning we got up at 5.50 am to go duck hunting while the sun rises. Actually the three others were the ones who hunted. I was just watching!

The last long period they haven't have water
in the duck pond, so now that they have, they had to move
the feeder out of the water.

Randy, Charlie, and I went to put up the deer blind from the pond, at another spot on the property. At that spot we picked some…. vegetables…. that I don't remember the name of, but they tasted good!
Later we went around in the forest to remove the big boughs, that were in the way for the upper seat in the jeep.

Of course I found the biggest ones!
I'm lying, Charlie found some big ones too… ;)

They had to fell some trees, so they would be able
to see the pigs from the deer blind.

I almost learned how to shoot a gun… Except the one fact, that I later on found out that Randy didn't tell me, I was doing it wrong... Because, I showed Dr. White (the veterinarian I shadow (he goes hunting too)) a picture of me shooting a shotgun..

So now, I am so ready for go shooting the next time we go to the camp. That
will be at Thanksgiving!
